With the partnership between the US Embassy in Moldova and the Ceadir Lunga Public Library, the American Corner at Ceadir-Lunga officially opened in August 2006.
Our American Corner is unique in its place in Gagauzia, because we have a wonderful collection of classic English literature for adults and children. In addition, we offer English related services such as translation, English conversation practice, and hosts free activities for children and young adults such as the Science Club, English Discussion Club, and the Film Club.
The American Corner - Ceadir-Lunga also serves as an alumni center where Moldovan citizens who have been to the United States on exchange programs can gather and keep in touch with each other and with their American contacts, and organize events and activities to share their experience.
So, if you are interested in American culture, read awesome books, want to improve your English speaking skills or you just want to have a good time, come on over and hang out with us!
